Julia Holter is an experimental yet careful crafter of pop music (often termed as “bedroom pop”) who often goes for an intelligent kind of focus over lazy atmosphere. Her first full-length Tragedy, released in 2011, is a concept album that revolves around ancient Greek drama and her most recent album is the critically acclaimed, fairly approachable Ekstasis. She is currently based in LA.
